Neon
Neon for Startups — Postgres credits
What you get
Up to $200K in credits; up to $1,000 if self-funded
Neon's startup program (the Databricks Startup Program) gives eligible startups credits for Neon and Databricks: up to $1,000 if self-funded, up to $200K if venture-backed.
About this deal
Neon's startup credits come through the Databricks Startup Program (Neon's page uses this name), covering both Neon and Databricks, valid for 12 months from acceptance. Existing Neon or Databricks users can apply — approved credits are added to your current account, no migration needed. When credits run out or expire, your account continues on your selected plan with normal billing; there's no commitment to stay and no surprise charges while credits are active.
Eligibility
Two tiers:
- Self-funded: less than $1M in funding, building an early-stage product or MVP. You get up to $1,000 in Neon credits, onboarding support from the Neon product team, and early access to new Neon features.
- Venture-backed: at least $1M in funding, or participation in a recognized accelerator such as Y Combinator. You get up to $200K in Neon and Databricks credits, onboarding support, early feature access, speaking opportunities at Neon developer events, and co-marketing opportunities with Neon.
Neon reviews each application individually.
How to redeem
Apply on the Neon Credits for Startups page (neon.com/startups). Neon's team typically responds within a few business days; if you qualify, credits are applied to your account.
