Privacy Policy

What information we collect

We collect your email address and consent record only when you choose to subscribe to our newsletter. We do not require registration to browse deals. We do not collect payment information.

We also collect anonymous, aggregate usage data about how the site is used, without linking events to individual users. See “Analytics” below.

Analytics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand which pages and deals are useful. It does not use cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.

It records the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system and device type, screen size and language, and your approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your connection. It also records a small number of actions on our site: viewing a deal, clicking through to a vendor, using the category or sort filters, using search, and completing a newsletter signup. We do not send the text you type into search, or your email address, to the analytics service.

Because your browser connects to Umami to send this data, Umami receives your IP address in the process, as any service you connect to does. We do not receive or store IP addresses in our own analytics records. Outbound deal clicks are also counted on our own servers, without your IP address or any identifier. Some browsers and extensions block analytics scripts; if yours does, none of the above is recorded. You can read Umami's own policy at umami.is/privacy.

Outbound deal links

When you click to claim a deal, your browser sends the vendor's site our web address as the referring site — enough for the vendor to see that the visit came from FoundLyft, but not which specific deal page you were on.

Abuse prevention

To limit automated abuse of our forms, we count how often a form is submitted from the same network address. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) version of the address, with our service provider Upstash, for up to one hour, and use it for nothing else.

How we use your information

Your email address is used only to send updates about new deals and platform changes. We record your consent at signup including the version of consent text shown.

Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time using the personal link included in any email from us, or by visiting www.foundlyft.com/unsubscribe and entering your email address. You can also email us at hello@foundlyft.com. We record the date you unsubscribed.
