About this deal
Claude for Startups is Anthropic's program for early-stage founders building on Claude.
Applications are closed. Anthropic's program page says its current cohort is full and it is not accepting new applications right now. Applications that were still in review were not moved forward, and Anthropic emailed the people affected. For the next cohort, Anthropic points to its Claude Startup newsletter and has not given a reopening date.
According to Anthropic, the program continues for current members, who get:
- Offers on AI-native tools through the Claude Startup Stack, redeemed with a code in the Claude Console. Anthropic describes them as discounts and credits worth up to $45,000. They come from independent companies, not from Anthropic, and the providers can change them.
- Live group sessions with Anthropic's Applied AI team every other week, plus invites to Claude Startup events, hackathons and meetups.
Founders backed by a VC in Anthropic's partner network may be eligible for up to $100,000 in additional API credits, claimed through the VC.
Claude Startups credits apply only to the first-party Claude API through the Claude Console. They can't be used on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or other third-party platforms.
Earlier in October, Anthropic's program page offered $1,000 in API credits and a free year of Claude Team. It no longer mentions them. See the change history below for the dates.

Anthropic is not accepting applications right now, and its current program page does not list eligibility requirements for the next cohort. Check Anthropic's page for the requirements when applications reopen.
How to redeem
Applications are closed, so there is nothing to apply for right now.
- Open Anthropic's Claude for Startups page and subscribe to the Claude Startup newsletter. Anthropic says that is how it will announce when applications open for the next cohort.
- If you are already a member, use Member sign in on that page to reach your offers, sessions and events.

Anthropic's Claude for Startups page now says the current cohort is full and it is not accepting new applications. By 9 October it had said Anthropic was over capacity on the free year of Claude Team and the $1,000 API credit offers. Between 12 and 14 October the Apply button, those two offers and that notice were removed. Current members keep access. Anthropic gave no reopening date.
