MongoDB for Startups gives eligible startups MongoDB Atlas credits and Voyage AI tokens, technical support and go-to-market opportunities, in four tiers by stage. The credit amounts aren't published on the program page.
About this deal
MongoDB for Startups companies represent more than $200 billion in combined valuation. The program offers four tiers matched to your stage:
- Inspire (bootstrapped): baseline credits to validate your idea
- Grow (early-funded): expanded credits and hands-on technical support
- Innovate (rising VC-backed): additional credits and expanded expertise
- Scale (rapidly scaling): maximum credits, priority support, and expert guidance
Credits also cover Voyage AI — high-accuracy embedding and reranker models for AI-powered search and retrieval. Accepted startups get a unique promo code by email: 12 months to activate it, then 12 months to use the Atlas credits, with case-by-case extensions available. The program includes a one-on-one session with a MongoDB expert, and the Developer Support plan is free for your first 30 days (from $49/month afterward, payable with your startup credits).
Eligibility
To qualify for the base tier:
- Less than 7 years old and Series A or earlier
- Focused on a single software-based product or service (development shops and agencies aren't eligible)
- Not previously accepted into MongoDB for Startups
- An active company website and LinkedIn profile
Both new and existing MongoDB Atlas users can apply.
How to redeem
MongoDB works with VCs, accelerators and incubators: ask your VC or accelerator partner to refer you. If you aren't involved with one, apply on the MongoDB for Startups page (mongodb.com/solutions/startups); if you haven't heard back after five business days, contact MongoDB. Accepted startups apply their promo code under Billing in their Atlas organization (you must be an Organization Owner or Billing Admin).
